Overview

We want you on the water with gear you love. If something isn't right โ€” wrong size, changed your mind, or it just didn't work out โ€” send it back within 30 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange.

How to Return

Contact Us

Email returns@thepeakflyshop.com or call either location with your order number and the item(s) you'd like to return. We'll get back to you within one business day.

Receive Your Return Label

We'll email you a prepaid UPS or USPS return shipping label. Print it and attach it to your package.

Pack & Ship

Pack the item in its original packaging if possible. Drop it off at any UPS or USPS location. Keep your receipt as proof of drop-off.

Refund Issued

Once we receive and inspect your return (typically 1โ€“2 business days), your refund is issued to the original payment method within 3โ€“5 business days.

Prefer to return in person? Bring the item and your order confirmation to either of our locations. In-store returns are processed immediately.

Exchanges

Need a different size, weight, or color? We make exchanges easy.

  • Contact us with your order number and what you'd like instead
  • We'll ship the new item as soon as we receive your return (or immediately for in-store exchanges)
  • If the new item is a different price, we'll charge or refund the difference
  • Exchanges are subject to availability โ€” we'll let you know immediately if something is out of stock

Item Condition Requirements

To be eligible for a return or exchange, items must be:

  • Unused and in original, resalable condition
  • In original packaging with all tags attached
  • Free of fish slime, mud, or signs of use on the water
  • Accompanied by your order number or receipt

Items that have been used on the water are not eligible for return unless they are defective. If your gear failed due to a manufacturing defect, contact us โ€” we'll work with the manufacturer on a warranty claim and get you taken care of.

Exceptions โ€” Final Sale Items

The following items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged: Flies, tippet material, leaders (opened), and any item marked "Final Sale" at time of purchase.

This policy exists for hygiene and product integrity reasons. Flies that have been handled cannot be resold, and tippet material that has been opened may have been compromised.

If a fly or leader is defective out of the package, contact us and we'll replace it โ€” no return required.

Refunds

Refunds are issued to the original payment method only. Processing times:

  • Credit / debit cards โ€” 3โ€“5 business days after we process the return
  • PayPal โ€” 1โ€“3 business days
  • In-store credit โ€” issued immediately at time of return

Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error or a defective product.
